The minimum entry requirements for Junior Colleges this year have just been released.
Raffles Institution (RI) is the most difficult JC to enter, with O-Level cut-off points of three and four respectively for its science and arts courses.
Over 27,000 students have been awarded places in post-secondary institutions in the latest Joint Admissions Exercise. Of these, 36 percent have been posted to a Junior College and 56 percent have been posted to a polytechnic.
To enter a JC, a student’s L1R5 score – based on O-Level results for English and five relevant subjects – must not exceed 20 points.
To enter a polytechnic, a student needs a score of at most 26.
