Republic Polytechnic has recently launched an 18-month part-time diploma in environmental services and waste management.
The programme caters to Institute of Technical Education graduates and mid-career professionals who wish to pursue a career in this growing field.
Participants in the programme will be equipped for roles such as operations executives and hazardous waste specialists.
According to Dr Amy Khor, Senior Minister of State for the Environment and Water Resources and Health, about 30,000 people in the environmental services industry will benefit from value-added jobs through upskilling and technology adoption by companies by the year 2025.
The course will commence in June 2018 with its first intake of 50 students.
