As part of a three-year scheme to promote lifelong learning, alumni at of the National University of Singapore will be able to attend courses at their alma mater. The university is offering around 770 places in 140 courses, the majority of them pitched at the postgraduate level, starting this August.
Priority for course places will still be given to enrolled NUS students, with no more than ten percent of spaces in each class set aside for alumni.
NUS will waive course fees (which range from S$3,000 to S$3,500 per module) to its alumni, but a Student Services Fee of S$261.85 per semester will kick in next year.
Alumni will have the option of auditing the classes or taking them for credit. They can also apply courses taken for a grade towards other programmes and qualifications offered by the university.
