The Singapore Management University (SMU) will be introducing new scholarships and grants to ensure that financially needy Singaporean undergraduates can still continue to pay their tuition fees.
The new grant is called SMU Access, and is supported by an S$8 million seed fund from local charity Quantedge Foundation.
The Quantedge Foundation Scholarship will be given to about 20 to 25 financially needy students with strong academic potential on the condition that they maintain a cumulative GPA of at least three out of four each year.
Recipients of the SMU Access grant and the Quantedge scholarship will receive up to $12,500 depending on their course.
