First-year students at Pioneer Junior College get to participate in a work shadowing programme at various companies across a wide range of industries for between one and two weeks.
This is part of the Education and Career Guidance programme at post-secondary level which aims to give students the opportunity to undergo work attachments so that they will gain a better understanding about various industries.
The school conducts a survey at the start of the year to find out the kinds of jobs that students are interested in. The school then sources for relevant industry partners and arranges for local and overseas work attachments.
