UniSIM has filled all 60 places in its two new law programmes, Singapore’s third law school said last week.
27 students have been admitted to the Bachelor of Laws programme and another 33 to the Juris Doctor programme.
The university is offering a law curriculum with a focus on training criminal and family lawyers.
Many of the incoming students headed to UniSIM’s law programmes already have previous educational or work experience ranging from paralegals, law enforcement officers, court employees, teachers and social workers.
All applicants faced a four-member interview panel comprising senior lawyers and community leaders with law experience.
