At the 4th Global Young Scientists Summit held earlier this year, 21 distinguished scientists from around the world, including 13 Nobel laureates, discussed a broad range of topics with early-career researchers from a wide array of global research institutions
Addressing the summit, President Tony Tan Keng Yam said that Singapore has developed multiple paths of success in its school system across different fields, including science and maths.
The Global Young Scientists Summit also offers a platform for participants to present their research ideas and solutions addressing challenges faced by global cities.
In conjunction with summit, a series of public talks and panel discussions were held at the National Library and various schools and research institutions around Singapore to bring the latest in science and technology to the masses.
