The Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA), in collaboration with the National Library Board (NLB), has opened a heartland lab space at Jurong Regional Library where members of the public can tinker with technology.
The IDA Labs initiative aims to provide physical lab spaces for individuals, companies and government agencies to collaborate and innovate. They will house equipment such as 3D printers as well as technology kits for limited public use.
Minister for Communications and Information Dr Yaacob Ibrahim said that to build up a Smart Nation, we have to build upon everyone’s strengths.
