Medical students at Nanyang Technological University Singapore (NTU) have a new campus in Novena. The campus houses the Centre for Clinical Simulation which is able to accommodate both classroom learning and clinical experience under one roof.
The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, where NTU medical students train, is a partnership between NTU and Imperial College London. The School’s primary clinical partner is the National Healthcare Group.
The 20-storey building in Mandalay Road near Tan Tock Seng Hospital is equipped with facilities designed to support NTU’s “flipped classroom pedagogy”, which encourages self-directed as well as team-based learning.
The Centre for Clinical Simulation has over 170 pathological specimens donated by Imperial College London, and an anatomage table, a human-size virtual operating table.
