More millennials are taking up internships, working on industry projects, and taking part in both academic as well as industrial competitions in order to improve their career prospects upon graduation.
These days, it is hardly sufficient simply to attend classes and obtain good qualifications, especially when diplomas and degrees are proliferating.
In order to land that dream job, one must respond to the ever changing nature of the economy and the workforce, both of which have undergone radical changes in recent years.
According to a recent survey conducted by career-development portal Glints, slightly more than half of the respondents believe that what they are learning in school is inadequate, and eight in 10 said they were willing to sacrifice leisure time to take part in competitions or internship opportunities.
