Nanyang Polytechnic has been rapidly developing its slate of overseas exchange programmes for its students. Up to half of its students go for one stint either during their school term or when they are on internships at companies and institutions.
The overseas programmes encourage students to go beyond their classrooms and develop a global mindset, according to Nanyang Polytechnic’s director of student care and guidance Chai Kuek Heng.
There are also financial assistance schemes to ensure that deserving students do not miss out on such programmes.
Every year, more than 100 Business Management students also go on exchange trips, as part of the Overseas Student Exchange Programme.
