The Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) has expanded its range of degree offerings to include health sciences, more specifically, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, diagnostic radiography, radiation therapy and nursing.
A total of 2,400 places spanning 42 degree courses are available to A-level and polytechnic diploma holders. There have been 13,000 applicants this year.
Graduates from the abovementioned fields are expected to have exciting career prospects as the demand for healthcare professionals has steadily increased due to Singapore’s rapidly ageing population.
SIT director of admissions Kelly Koh said that applicants for these health science degrees courses are screened through interviews and portfolio assessments to search for students with the right attributes and qualities.
